AS50 Challenge... #8

8. Soccaccia (pocket) - cream and gold for largess. Soccaccia are pockets or pouches which are thought to have been worn under the dress, over the underskirt. Pictorial examples can be found in Moda Firenza. There are also drawings of some worn over the dress,at home, documentation of one found with the burial dress of Eleanora d'Toledo, an extant Spanish example online and pictures in the Pitti museum which have more recenlty published in the latest Janet Arnold book.
